A fabulous opportunity to step up and lead Eatons Hill Hotel Bistro & Bar. Eatons Hill Hotel boasts a busy Restaurant, Gaming Lounge, Sports Bar, Beer Garden, Rooftop Bar, Concert / Grand Ballroom, Main Bar / Nightclub with TAB facilities and function space. Music isn’t the only headliner at Eatons Hill Hotel, our dining menu is as much a main act; featuring a modern pub cuisine with the best cuts of beef from our own Butchery. Traditional Italian style wood fired Pizzas and flavoursome combinations of main dishes that cater to all tastes. Cultivated by a team of professional chefs from all around the world, our kitchen presents an international lineup of dishes for fans of good, wholesome food.

We're looking for a Restaurant Manager to take this iconic hotel on the next phase of its journey. With a strong local following, an outstanding fit out, the venue has an offer for everyone in town or travelling through. We offer a diverse range of experience and knowledge for you to draw off - and you will have the autonomy to implement your ideas within the hotel.

With autonomy for your own department, working closely with the Group's senior management team, you will have the opportunity to shape a dynamic culture for the venue and its team in line with strategic plans. Your input will be sought in identifying areas for development. You will be responsible for driving the performance of your team through achieving budgets and implementing plans in line with the business objectives.

Key responsibilities:
• Hands-on leadership and accountability of your team, including supervision and evaluation of performances
• Creating and maintaining an atmosphere where customer service standards can thrive
• Driving sales to meet your targets and budgets
• Product procurement and creating quality food and beverage offers
• Controlling operational costs
• Compliance in both regulatory and company standards
• Participating in and contributing to group management, marketing, and finance projects
• Strong planning and forecasting ability in regard to local events and functions


RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Duty Manager
Food & Beverage Manager
Restaurant Manager
Shift Manager
Cafe Manager

Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

This is a food and beverage focused venue, so we are looking for someone who is passionate about providing our patrons with a high-level product, with genuine friendly service and who has a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role. The following skills will be seen as favorable: 

·         A proven track record  

·         Sound Food & Beverage knowledge including Cocktails & Wine

·         Al La Carte & Bistro service experience

·         Customer service experience

·         POS Software experience

·         Cash Handling experience 

·         Rostering experience

·         Previous Management experience

·         Recruitment and retention of staff 

·         Training new staff

·         Conflict resolution 

·         Knowledge of Online bookings & Ordering systems  

·         Ability to uphold and monitor Health and Safety in the venue

·         Directing restaurant staff and communicating with the Kitchen 

·         Setting the standard of service

·         Overseeing opening and closing procedures of the venue 

·         Have suitable experience in hotel hospitality business and people management.

·         Have a strong understanding of the hotel/restaurant industry, market trends, customer service standards, and how to exceed them

·         The ability to engage and build relationships with regular clientele

·         Have a professional manner and presentation

·         Be available week days / weekends and nights

·         Lead from the front and set the best of examples

·         Have correct certificates and licenses to apply
